Toward the garden Beauty and sound surround me I meditate Language of nature A window Moving slowly through dense vegetation Glimmering leaves, fragrant flowers The buzz of life Driven Toward an unknown center The ground an incline under my feet Exuberant chaos of flora Each step increasing A hidden hunger Ancient longing Wholeness And at the center, a clearing Deepest stillness Vibrating with life The order of the cosmos Behind its gauzy veil Iridescent, intricate I can see
